Definition of Licence Classes
- Class 2 - Rigid Truck with a gross vehicle mass of more than 4,500kg but less than 18,001kg, or combination vehicle of 12,000kg or less.
- Class 3 Combination Vehicle - Any combination vehicle with a gross combined weight of 12,000kg to 25,000kg.
- Class 4 Large Rigid Vehicle - Any rigid vehicle with a gross vehicle mass of up to 25,000kg
- Class 5 Heavy Combination Vehicle - Any combination vehicle with a gross combined weight up to 44,000kg.
Outcome and Requirements
- You will need to gain your Learners Licence from any AA outlet prior to completing our course.
- It is essential you allow 2 days to complete the full licence training and assessment.
- Our approved course reduces the waiting period between your learners and your full Licence
- The ProDriver training course covers both theory and practical content and each student has an individual programme designed to meet their goals and needs.
- Assistance is available for anyone with specific learning disabilities, our Assessors are very committed to helping everyone reach their full potential and ensuring no-one is disadvantaged.
- All licence courses are NZQA unit standard based programme enabling individuals to gain credits towards a Commercial Road Transport National Certificate if students continue their learning.
- All practical training and assessment is one-on-one, this involves completing any theory work and pre-drive training followed by in cab training and once the Driver feels comfortable the formal assessment is then completed to a high level of competency.
