Passenger Service Course

To gain a P Endorsement you must hold, and have held for at least 2 years a full class 1 licence. (Holding an equivalent overseas licence will not meet this requirement.)

• You need a P Endorsement if you drive a small passenger service vehicle for hire or reward.
• If you drive a large passenger service vehicle you need a P Endorsement whether or not it is for hire or reward.
• Depending on the size of the vehicle you may also require a Class 2 Licence.
• Our course involves one day in the classroom completing a Logbook course NZQA unit standard 24089 and Passenger service driver licencing requirements unit 17579.
• The practical assessment for this licence endorsement must be completed with an AA testing officer.
• A small passenger service vehicle has a maximum of 12 seats. A large passenger service vehicle has more than 12 seats.
